The palm tree in the back says it is probably south of approximately South Carolina (state tree) to mid-California, if in the U'S., and much farther south if an inland city.

I found your post while searching for light sculptures, and - what do you know - I recognized the photo. There has been alot of re-development in downtown Long Beach, lately, and these are several new street sculptures near the main intersection.
I am interested in building electronic light sculptures, but I don't want to burn the place down; so I am looking at other electronic sculptures to enjoy for the time being, until I learn how to do it right.
