Ronald Rae was born in 1946 in Ayr, Scotland. Fifteen years later he discovered the joy and sorrow of carving granite. His obsession to carve one of the world's hardest stones was established. After 40 years he still feels it is a privilege to carve stone which is over 450 million years old.
