NYE like no other...

It is with a heavy heart that I have cancelled my New Years Eve plans and taken the $100 that I might have spent and donated it to the Asian tsunami appeal. I chose the Red Cross/Red Crescent, though any involved would have done.

I wont really miss the night out, the way things are.

I have been following this too and am lost for words.

As the magnitude confused the world support effort, so did it mine.

I am following your lead and going for the Red Cross/Red Crescent.

I still can't even wrap my head around this. The scale is staggering. Once, a long time ago, I stood outside at night looking up at the sky. For a single moment, I was able to "know" the true scale of the world. I was dwarfed and small. That is how I feel reading these reports.
