for freewheeling random concepts, I am as John Kroll had said, a victim of too much education.

Now:
take a pile of identical disks and lay one down, then lay down more to form a ring around the first-------the ring has six disks
lay down another ring around the first ring and it has 12 disks
and more rings and more rings and you will see that they proceed thusly
6:12:18:24:36:42:48:54:60:...etc.(ignore the center disk--or call it zero)
By the 2nd ring the disks line up in a 6 sided cell.
pre Babylonian fertile crescent civilizations used a base 6 in their numerology
and the coincidence of base 6 and base 60 and temples led to an assumption of numerology as intrinsic to their early religion. Which may hearken back to ancestral discoveries including mathematics before 10,500ybp.
60 6 day cycles gives 360 days(base 6 X base 60)
and the mythologies added another 5 or 6 days as we departed base 6 for base 60 and then base 10----(e.g.: Nut adding five days to birth the Gods)

I have been asked to create something for a show on erotica and sensuality and help delineate pornography.
Early examples of prurient (& quite figurative) art can be found in the cave paintings of southwestern France and northern Spain. I remember one of a young woman bent at the waist and looking back over her shoulder at an ithiphallic male. So from the dawn of the artistic awakenings of the species, art representing sexual attraction has been a constant.

Now the question---
As women are the originators of life, and women are the commonly expressed sex when erotica and or sensuality are conceived, and the origin of mathematics was base 6
Does anyone think that a casual observer would ever draw that connection from a simple progression of base 6?

Or should I chuck it and stick with the figurative?

This is the free-wheeling problem solving part of the conceptual process and I'm just playing with and experimenting with stray thoughts, concepts, and feelings.
So, yours will be welcome

Wow, that numerology stuff was over my head, but I'm not a womam nor a casual observer. Erotica and porn are pretty simply concepts...rather base ...but I don't know that they are to the base 6 (pun kind of intended). Whats the difference between art and craft, or good art and bad art? Thats where I think the difference between porn and erotica may hide. Craft has a different intent than art, like sensuality has a different intent than porn. Sensuality is polite porn, you know for mixed company, "PG" or "R" rated. Porn is for secret pleasure, adults only, where the intent is for intensity.
