Hi all, I got this idea for incorporating glass eyes into this ongoing series Ive been doing. I called some ocularists, apparently theyre made of plastic now, but pretty expensive. Around $175 or so a pair? Crazy...
Anyway, I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions on where I could find large quantities cheap/wholesale....

There are usually several antique glass eye/prosthetic eye auctions on eBay at any given time. Buying a used/antique glass eye from someone is kind of creepy.
A cost effective alternative would be to Google search "Taxidermy Supplies" . There are several online taxidermy suppliers that carry Human Eyes....kind of creepy as well.

About $10 per pair for 26mm (largest offered). They look nice for inexpensive eyes and have the corneal bulge.

Try www.lifecasting.com. I think I paid $15 for a cheapie pair a month ago and was quoted about $60 for a better pair.
Heres a little critter I made mainly for my own amusement. I was hoping for a larger eye, but had to use what was available.

These guys make amazingly realistic eyes. I don't think they have a website but give them a call.
