I understand the prize winners for this 'Sculptures by the Sea, Bondi 2005' exhibition near Sydney, Australia have been announced. The top Aus$30,000 Lexus prize is awarded to a Czech sculptor Vaclav Fiala who also won it last year. [Aus$1 = US$0.75]
More than 100 sculptors from around the world took part. A total Aus$115,000 in prizes and grants have been given out.
This annual exhibition started nine years ago, and has grown into the largest, free to the public, outdoor exhibition of contemporary sculpture in Australia.

The official webpage listing the various prize amounts and award winners can be found at http://www.sculpturebythesea.com/html/SXSBondi_Awards.php

Nice Links Merlion, I passed them on to a friend in Texas who's respose I share here:
Thanks A.
I saw this show when I was in Sydney in 2001. It was a great show. Beautiful site, and some pretty darn nice work. And lots of it. It is really the way a sculpture show should look. The nearest thing to it I have seen in the USA is the Navy Pier show in Chicago.
See you….
