small sculpture hot spots

OK, we all know the major sculpture centers in the US. But does anyone know of some small communities where there is a lot of sculpture/ art activity. Does anyone know of some smaller communities where there is a market for new art (where stuff sells well)

Well, it's not the US (it's a big world) but Sydney Australia has a thriving community of sculptors - and believe it or not, collectors.
Of course with a national population of 20 million, there is a very real limit to public art projects, but on a domestic level, it's growing and healthy market.
Interestingly, I have also found Perth to be receptive.
