new member of sculpture site

I am delighted that there is a site for sculptors to have an exchange of idea's and dialogue. I have been to too of the sculpture conferences, and valued each one. What was playing on the video monitors?

Hi Russ,

Thank you for checking out my site. The Pillow Project is also a collaborative work. I collected the pillows from anyone I could convince to give me there used pillow/s. The video's are also made with the help of artists and friends. There were four monitors running simultantiously, creating a cacophny of sound and image. The images were of people in various stages of sleep or almost sleep, dreaming or that twilight sleep we experience before we drift off. The imagery seemed to become surreal, and mesermizing, lulling viewers into another psychic space.

This show was reviewed in Sculpture Magazine in the April 2000 issue, Vol. 19 No. 3.

I think this site is a wonderful idea, and I hope more artists will participate.

By the way, I don't recall any information about another sculpture conference....is there anything in the works?
