[Austinsculpts]

The Sculpture Academy is a new school in Austin TX. In addition to 8 week programs, it offers weekend workshops in figure sculpture, casting, metalsmithing and a bunch of others. The academy also offers welding with gas, mig, stick...bronze casting in our own foundry on site, stone, wood carving, a zillion ceramics classes including one on how to build huge pieces with jointed slab construction. Catalogs online at www.sculptureacademy.com.

That's cool to know, Dallas has a similarly diverse school (http://www.creativeartscenter.org/) that provides a lot of figurative classes
and has welding too.

I used to teach at a school out here in California called, The Crucible, when it was in Berkeley. It has since moved to oakland. I think the web site is worth checking out.
