June 4 - 24, 2006, Ellettsville, IN
Registration is now being accepted for the 10th Annual Limestone Sculpture Symposium, a unique carving symposium, one of only a handful of carving workshops in the nation and the only one dedicated to Indiana limestone as a sculptural medium. The symposium is open to all levels of carvers--from the beginner to the professional. Attendees will be submerged in an environment that will allow them to learn about Indiana limestone right from the source, from professionals who have varied backgrounds in sculpture and architectural carving. Tuition includes a limestone block, a banker (carving bench), and other amenities. A limited number of "Work While You Carve" scholarships are available. A packet with lodging and tool information will be sent to participants upon registration. For more information or to register, contact 812-334-3100 or info@artlives.org. A prospectus and registration form can be downloaded at the BAAC's website: www.artlives.org/limestone06.html
