CROSSROADS CINCINNATI 2006
From June 21 through June 24, the International Sculpture Center will host Crossroads Cincinnati 2006, a gathering of artists, art professionals and art enthusiasts who will convene to discuss contemporary issues in sculpture. Crossroads Cincinnati 2006 will be held at the Schiff Family Conference Center at Xavier University in Cincinnati. In attendance will be artists, arts professionals, arts patrons, curators, museum directors, and general arts enthusiasts.
CONFERENCE PROGRAM
Attend panel sessions; meet renowned arts professionals at small mentoring sessions; present images of your work at ARTslam, a forum for artists to present their work to curators and peers; buy important products and services for artists at the Vendors’ Square; connect with peers and conference participants at our Video Lounge. Keynote speakers: artists Jackie Winsor and Chakaia Booker.
OTHER EVENTS AROUND TOWN
A host of local individuals and arts organizations, including the Cincinnati Art Museum, Contemporary Arts Center, Carl Solway Gallery, Dayton Art Institute, and the Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park & Museum will host a series of special events to welcome conference guests. In addition, a group of Cincinnati artists, led by sculptor Celene Hawkins, have organized the Studio B Sculpture Invitational, a group exhibition of over 45 local and regional artists presenting new work in a 10,000 square foot warehouse space.
