Need Carving Stone , help!

Hello, i just moved down to Florida and i am looking to do some stone carving, howeever i've had lots of problems finding a right supplier. Can anyone tell me where can i buy a couple of cubic feets of some soft stone? and what would be a decent price for it? i am willing to pay some cash but i wouldnt like to be robbed, i inted to do this very often.
