Anyone know what the story is on this stuff? has it been discontinued, recalled or something long ago and I'm out of the loop?
I searched for quite a while last night and I found smooth-on's page and perma-flex's page to name a couple, but both are 404 not found. Another page from a site or two that came up as carrying it also came back 404 not found and doesn't appear on their web sites any more.
Polytek's site mentions this rubber but that's all it does- mention it.
I go to the Polytek, smooth-on and perma-flex web sites and use their search and come up zippo, I looked everywhere in their product lists and store and found only a couple of technical papers or mention of polysulphide rubber but that's all, no info page, order form and it's not in their "stores"
I found one site that has it but only in 5 gallons for over $308 and 55 gallon drums for over $2700
It was supposedly the only mold rubber you could apply to WET clay or plaster unlike silicone, latex or polyurethane.
I suspect from the lack of finding pages on it, that it's no longer made. I'll try emailing perma flex I guess but if anyone knows the scoop let's hear!
