I am wondering if you have heard anything, during the course of so many sculpture discussions, about sculpture parks with temporary exhibits and what the practice is for programming sculpture for them-- are artists usually paid for this, or do they pay for the space, or are there programs that operate with temporarily donated artwork? How do artists feel about getting their work into an outdoor exhibition space?
Any info is appreciated.

Regarding temporary outdoor exhibits -- as with most things in the artworld, anything goes. There is sort of a national standard which is around $1000 honorarium for participating sculptors. In essence this might cover shipping and installation costs. Sometimes a portion of that is withheld until the piece is de-installed at the end of the exhibition. Many shows offer nothing.
The creme de la creme is the Public Art Fund of NY. They commission site-specific installations by international and emerging artists. They typically offer a $10,000 production budget along with a $2,000 honorarium. They are my heroes. I got to see Tom Eccles, their director, in San Antonio last month. He is a very inspirational character. It would be awesome if Denver and other big cities could emulate what he is doing.
I'll post this on the ISC Community under the "Help Center" section and see if anyone else has any ideas.
