Hey Roy. I've use this foundry before. They do nice work , however they are a bit pricey. There are plenty of other options out there that are a bit closer to me and a good deal cheaper. I would check out a few other foundries pricing before comitting to them.
Just my opinion though,
Steve

Greetings Roy and Steve,
Roy, were you able to find a quality foundry in the Florida area offering a reasonable price?
Steve, do you have any recommendations?

Depending on your Florida location.... Inferno foundry on the south side of Atlanta.... Good work, reasonable prices, attention to detail....a little slow sometimes depending on their production load, but well worth the extra time....

Swetland, I have to agree with Blacksun. Inferno is one of the foundries I use. If you are close enough to make the trip I recomend them. Phil and Carl are great guys. They will take care of you.

And if you do, tell them Tony Quickle said hey! They offered me the opportunity to work on one of my bronzes a few years ago....I wanted it a little faster (okay, the client wanted it) than we had planned. They gave me the opportunity to come up and "help" with the production to speed up the process....I'm not sure if I was a help or not, but I left the Foundry with a beautiful bronze and a much healthier respect for the work they do. After hanging with them for 2 weeks, I will never complain about the cost of foundry work...it's a damn hard life. I used to think stonecarvers like me had it the worst....not any more.

Hey thanks, I will use the foundry So. of Atlanta as soon as I make something I like enough to have done. I live very close to there. I used to live in Atlanta...hated it. Anyway...thanks. Scout

Thanks to all of you for the input. I'm hoping there is a place a little closer to Miami, but since it's small medallic work, mailing to Atlanta is doable. I like that they pay attention to detail.
Once again, I appreciate the help.

I have no personal experience in this matter being from half the world away. But this list of American foundries (http://www.artcastingjournal.com/foundries.htm) from the Sculpture Journal may be of use to some of you. There seem to be many from Florida listed here.
