I need to make a large lightweight decorative sculpture for a metal awning over a shop. I am imagining a chicken wire and steel rod frame covered in something? I do not want ot use resin or fibreglass.
I need something waterproof and long lasting.
This is not my area of expertise - I come from a modelling and casting background but do not think that is appropriate for this project. But if any material exhisted that was malleable to satisfy my need for the tactile experience that would be fabulous. Weight & durability being my main concerns.
This sculpture is a giant flower for the top of my natural healing centre so if it is only an idea or experiemental material that is OK. Not selling it to someone else.

Any suggestions would be welcomed.
