Do we have a 'New Posts' button, to list recent new posts ? It would be useful to have it, for convenience. It is also to show some new posts that get hidden by later posts in the same Folder.
If this 'New Post' idea has been considered in the past and not adpoted. I would appreciate knowing about the reasons at that time.
Also, from time to time new members tend to ask the same questions. One example it how to post photo images. As we alread have the FAQ button. I think we should put some of these questions and answers there.

The FAQ button on the bar above takes us to a number of very general FAQs related to the online Forum software. I think there is a need to add FAQs specific to this Sculpture Community Forum.
The most frequently asked questions that new members have been asking is how to add photos of their sculptures into the Photo Gallery, as well as attaching photos into postings.
These two questions have been asked from time to time. And so many times the moderators or helpful senior members have to compose replies to them. Often there are follow up questions as the attempts may not be successful. Sometimes we take them to old threads on this matter. These are taking up times of these helpful moderators or members.

Interestingly, the 'how do I' questions often start up friendships that last for years. It's a chance for people to help each other out.
That's not to say that FAQ's aren't important.

I don't know, but every so often there seems to be someone that asks something like how do I make it in the art world??? would it be wise to list galleries and the style of work that they show so that people who are near but not necessarily in the location of the gallery can do some more research and possibly apply for representation?
for example:
gallery X
NY, NY
contemporary postmodern art
website
Might help with the How do I make it questions.

Hi Merlion,
One thing to keep in mind is that if all of us read all of what goes on in this forum we'd never get any work done. Sometimes I think you may be a little frustrated with the lack of responses, but I for one am having a harder time reading everything because I have more sculpture committments and there are more messages on the forum. It's not that I am not interested.

JAZ,
This thread is for suggestions about this Forum from members who are not moderators. What is the point of inviting suggestions from moderators?
I have sent you a PM.

Matt,
Art in America publishes an annual gallery issue that lists the information you mention, plus a list of artists already represented by the gallery. That should give you a good idea what their orientation is. I believe I saw that the issue currently out is their annual Gallery/Museum guide.

[offtopic] Matt, I just took a tour of your site and love the work. Have you ever seen this Sydney artist? http://www.richard-goodwin.com/index.htm Also, check out Ken Unsworth http://images.google.com.au/images?q=%22ken+unsworth%22&hl=en&btnG=Search+Images If you want to chat, we should start a new thread.

Great stuff, I will try to check in regularly and yes I would like to chat, I have a show with my wife in a small gallery at a small college here. Opening in 13 days and I have 7 pieces to get done, their small and made out of paper but I hope they will have big impact, maybe even get me censored?:) Thanks for the links can't wait to go through it more in depth.
