Late magazines...

I'm sure that international mail can cause a few days delay now and then, but my Sculpture magazine can take months to arrive. So late they can arrive out of order.
The last issue I had was March :(

How long does it take people to recieve theirs?

For the approx 2 yrs I've been subscribing, they have never been consistent.

Well that isn't good. I wonder if it is a mail problem or a distribution problem. And I wonder what countries are the worst. We'll have to look into this.

It tooks me 3 months to get the first issue, that one dated october arrived early november. the next two arrived end of november and mid-december. a bit late for the news, of course, but still very interresting for the main articles.

The last one I've received at this point is September (it's now January).
Dissappointing really.

Hi, I contacted the editor of Sculpture Magazine and we are taking action to help with your problem.

I'll send you a PM that gives more detail, but we sometimes have isolated problems with the international distribution channels, so it helps to know the places we are having problems reported from.

Thanks Russ, I was not keen to again write Sarah. I get my mail at a PO Box so it's not going astray. In fact I've had late issues arrive 4 months later.
4 months is about how long it would take me to swim there. Even a ship with it's motor turned off can make the trip faster, going the long way around.
I do however appreciate the costs and other problems, so thanks to the team for looking out for us foreigners.

Would you believe that October just turned up at my PO Box this afternoon!
When would someone in the US receive it? Mid-October?

Well, I probably got my October issue in late September. At my request, they are looking into other distribution channels and are specifically looking into your problem. The March issue will be the first that will have the change, so hopefully it will not arrive as late as your other issues have.

The ISC has looked into this problem. Beginning with the March 2004 issue of Sculpture Magazine (due to be mailed February, 15th 2004) we will be implementing a new international distribution method.

Magazines should be arriving faster to our International Members. But we need help from our International Members. Could you please let us know when you receive your March 2004 issue?

That way we can track this problem and hopefully get it resolved.

the february issue as been delivered early this week! great delivery time ... and content. I spend the night reading it all.

I also received my Feb issue around 2 weeks ago (approx 20th Jan) - fantastic - it appears to have leap frogged over Nov and Dec.
