I have a large sandstone stele broken off from the metal base. Can someone
recommend a professional to remount & make new metal base in Park Slope
Brooklyn or NYC? Thanks.

I just read your question and it could be too late for this reply. My answer would be to remount the stele on a harder base of granite and mounted like a grave stone. Contact the grave marker masons in Brooklyn or in Queens, they may have pieces of granite that may suit your need. Lastly, contact the Brooklyn Museum, they should have a concrete answer.
