I was alerted by a blogger of this California artist Ned Kahn and his fantastic kinetic 3D artworks. They are, as he said in his statement, a 'confluence of science and art'.
They are 'inspired by atmospheric physics, geology, astronomy and fluid motion', and 'enable viewers to observe and interact with natural processes'. They 'incorporate flowing water, fog, sand and light to create complex and continually changing systems'.
I am still going through and munching on the many unusual artworks shown in his website (http://nedkahn.com/statement.html), some with videos. They are very creative, and frankly speaking some are giving me new ideas.
Hope you'd also enjoy them.
