Does anyone have any idea what would be the biggest sculpture done in Tennessee Pink Marble?

I'm the assistant to a sculptor who works mostly in Tennessee Pink Marble. He bought the Candora Marble works years ago out here in East Tennessee.

His pet project is TN One Ton: a program where he invites artists to work on a piece of TN marble for a public sculpture . His latest idea involves a VERY BIG group sculpture.

We are trying to find out what the LARGEST Tennessee Marble sculpture might be. I'm not having the greatest of luck with Google on this (I keep getting stuff about the Taft Memorial). We thought the sculpting community at large could help us out with this one. Obviously we are thinking MUCH BIGGER than the NY Public Library lions.

Looking forward to hearing more about the TN One Ton project. I'm curious about the sizes of stone quarried at the Candora Marble Works and what this very big group sculpture will be and if you have a timeline in the works. Do you intend this sculpture be carved from a single large stone or pieced together?

The Library Lions (http://www.nypl.org/pr/lions.cfm) --Patience and Fortitude-- in Manhattan is some nice stonework and it's interesting to read about Edward Clark/ Piccirrilli Brothers commission. Most of the large pink stone sculptures that come to my mind are granite, like the Jesus Morales I encountered on a plaza in Manhattan.

The most I know about the BIG sculpture plan is he wants to do the BIGGEST one done. It's like looking for a very big needle in an even larger hay stack.

I would assume he'll use more than one piece of stone, although he has some hunkin big chunks on site.

I'm still on the "find the biggest sculpture" hunt. When I find out what it is, then I'll be able to say, "The one Bruce wants to do is BIGGER." I'm also working on turning the TN One Ton project into a not-for-profit so the "project" is its own entity.
