After four years, I'm finally closing in on the finish of my documentary about the "Secret Life of War Memorials"!
A question- what is you favorite war memorial in the US and/or which intrigues you the most? If you have any pix of them I'd love to see them.
Thanks.

There is a vietnam piece at Lincoln High School in one of the worst nieghborhood of Jersey city (I had a studio there for years) that has imprinted itself in my mind. A lone figure (bronze), barely standing after having been riddled by bullets (or beer bottles). most of his clothing is tattered a-la Sgt Rock and he is well into the final throes of a seemingly unheroic death. . Not tremendously well-sculpted but shockingly unexpected in every possible way. It goes completely unnoticed under huge trees behind mangled iron fencing. I admired daily.
( No tech to get the snapshots online but I will photgraph it digitally the next time I hit nyc couple weeks from now)
