Jarrod - Lots of cities have these for their own use, and some states also. What range of audience do you have in mind?

Forgive me, but what is a slide registry?

In my experience it is a catalog of artists works that are kept on hand by galleries and museums. Some are run but artists groups and offer small web postings if your work fits what they are wanting. Most that I have found host craft's or painting and are by home State residing artists. I am always looking out for a place to send my 20+ slide sheet copies used for jobs. Hope that clears somethings up.

p.s. International Sculpture has a nifty little portfolio deal, although I am not sure how often the works there are reviewed by outsiders?

HIYA JARROD,
FRITCHIE IS RIGHT ALMOST ALL MAJOR CITIES HAVE SOME
SORT OF ART COUNCIL AND YES MOST OF THEM ARE FREE
AND THEY ARE LOOKING FOR SLIDES ONLY BUT THEY ALL SEEM
TO HAVE A CERTAIN FORMAT FOR IT.THE BEST WAY I FIND,TO
FIND, THESE ARTS IS TO CONTACT THE LOCAL CHAMBER OF
COMMERCE WHO USALLY ARE IN CHARGE OF THE ARTS.ITS GREAT
EXPOSURE AND MOST MUNICIPAL WORK THAT IS DONE A CERTAIN
PERCENTAGE HAS TO BE ALOTTED AN SPENT ON THE ARTS (1% TO 2%) AND THATS WHERE THEY ARE LOOKING FOR NEW BLOOD.
GOOD LUCK,
CHAZ
