Big Jim Finds New Home (http://www.wpxi.com/news/11441337/detail.html)

.CHARLEROI, Pa -- The statue known as "Big Jim" has found a new home.

The historic statue will take center stage in one local neighborhood.

The owners had Big Jim up for auction online, but instead have decided to make a cowboy contribution.

They have donated the 20-foot statue to the city of Charleroi.

He's been an attraction in Charleroi for nearly 30 years.

Big Jim weighs in at three and a half tons.

His owners are moving and can't take the giant tribute to their father with them.

Local artist Jim Krutz crafted the statue of his son in 1978.....

To create a really big cowboy holding a really big revolver is a nice idea. I'm glad it wont end up in the scrap pile. But from a figurative standpoit its a bit weak...the folk charm I suppose.
