I was wondering if there has ever been a sculpture composed of elements that
could be selected and assembled by the public. This might produce an art form
with exciting inputs from both the artist and the assembler. One might produce abstract art with a series of forms having a common set of attachment points. Alternately perhaps the individual pieces could be composed of transparent, translucent and opaque forms which could be superimposed or perhaps wheeled about. It seems to me that by inviting public participation in the creative process we foster greater appreciation and interest in art. What do you think?
