I am trying to identify a modern sculpture vase that is bronze in color. I'm not sure of the metal, but a magnet does not stick to it. The initials on the bottom are D (medium size) M (large size) B (medium size) with a smaller S centered beneath. All the letters touch each other, for instance the M is larger and centered between the D and B. The S is the smallest and is centered in the "v" of the M. It also has a 94 incised below the letter. I'm guessing this is the year it was sculpted.

Can anyone identify the sculptor or manufacturer for me? Thanks so much.

Can you post pictures? One overall and a close-up of the inscription would help. I agree with your conclusion about year. "M" may be the sculptor's surname initial letter. The "S" is a puzzle.

Thank you so much for replying. I just took pics and hopefully attached.

Thanks for the images. An odd color, which I assume is pretty close to truth, though each monitor is different. If the central part of the inscription were Mc, that might be a stronger clue, but I really have no idea what this one represents. Hope you learn more, and if you do, please tell us. It's a nice piece.

I am aware of a blacksmithing trick called forging "pillows". It involves injecting compressed air between red-hot edge-joined plates and expanding them like a baloon.. The end result looks like this thing. But this is usually done in steel. The signature stamp also indicates a blacksmith process. I suppose the same thing could be done with bronze plates. Just a thought.
