Is cor ten available in all profiles (flats, rounds, squares) as well as the usual sheets and plates? And its generally twice the cost of mild-steel, right?

I think that you can have it supplied in just about any form if you order a large enough quantity. One of the artist-friendly fabricators here in Adelaide had to place an order of $40,000 to get a certain shape/size of it (under a different brand name in Australia). I've seen 3mm sheet as the most readily available form in Australia.

Yeah, you can general find a variety of profiles, the main issue I've found is the size. Cor-ten tends to be used for large, industrial applications so things just tend to be bigger. I use solid round stock generally and the smallest I can get it is 1/2". I'd love to have a whole mess of 1/4-3/8" thick stuff.

Hi, None of the steel suppliers out here stock it, always a special order.
The last sheet I got was 11 gauge (a little thicker than 1/8 inch), 4 X 10 and it cost me $475.00.
No one seems to be able to get anything else but that.
OH, DON'T FORGET, YOU'LL NEED SPECIAL MIG WIRE, LINCOLN MAKES IT IN LARGE SPOOLS, IT'S CALLED LA-75 OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT.
Have a great day,
Jeff
