I am looking for a skill 100 planer. It is a motorized hand held and has a fairly long plane base. Even if it is not working and the Case and Plane are not cracked I would be interested. Thanks. Rob

Kinda doubt he is in the market now, it's been almost 3 years since that request was made!
Skill, Craftsman, Black N Decker etc used to be good tools- till maybe the 60's, but they are junk today basically made now overseas or Mexico for the use once a year homeowner who wants something cheap like a $29.95 3/8" drill or $19.95 jig saw. Pros who earn a living from their tools use brands like Makita, Bosch, Milwaukee and a few others.
Never thought I'd spend the money for a jigsaw, but after running through a few clunkers I spurged and bought the kind we use at work- by Bosch, damn now that's a fine power tool! rugged, heavy and runs smooth and quiet like a sweing machine. Ditto for the drill I use, also a Bosch and I've used this one to drive thousands of 3 and 4" long deck screws when I re-sheeted my entire roof, and now I use it a lot for mixing hydrocal.
I've had the Black N Decker drills, including one that stripped a tooth off an internal gear the first time the bit jammed in a piece of metal- the replacement drill did the same thing later.
