Recasting Vinyl Figure

Hey everyone im very new to this and i am kind of taking a dive into this project and i would really appreciate everyones help. I am trying to duplicate a fairly large vinyl figure (its a dog about about 1:1 scale with a bulldog). What materials am i going to need to duplicate it as cheaply as possible?? and best method of doing it?

THe first question would be what material do you want the final casting to be in? The cheapest material would probably be plaster or concrete.
If the original doesn't have a lot of detail you can make a multible part plaster mold and than cast your plaster or concrete in it. You will need to coat the inside of the plaster mold with something like vasoline before you cast.
If there is a lot of detail than make a latex or silicone rubber mold and back it up with a plaster mother mold.
