deleted - but basically an add for the companies product - this is not allowed on our community and we had some complaints about the post.

Dear Steven,
Your product is probably designed for indoor sculpture, for which it may work well. Since there is no mention of UV protection or rust inhibitors, I assume that you are targeting sculptors who don't show their work outdoors. If you do have a product for that, it would be especially interesting to me, since that is a tough call. It's okay if you don't. I know perfectly well that if I worked in stainless, I wouldn't be worried about it.

I would like to share some information concerning a product my company has developed. Are you offering a free sample?

To ensure that your treasured artwork is fully protected, ArtShield contains a special "tracer dye" that glows when exposed to ultraviolet light.
That's crazy - but a great idea!
To remove ArtShield coating from treated surfaces, use warm water and mild detergents or isopropyl alcohol.
Joyce, I think that means that out of doors is out of question.

Joyce, you can't fight the rust... entropy is inevitable. Take a look at Cor-ten (weathering) steel. If you can't beat em, join em! For those who find rust beautiful.

Sam I've wondered if you fell through the ice. Glad to see you posting. How about an update on that last piece you showed us in the gallery?

If this isn't an advertisement or spam, I 'd like to know what it is. But Russ, the genie-in-charge, will have to decide on that.

Mostly I had just let it go because people were responding and sculpture coating is topic we have had an interest in.
On the other hand no competing products were mentioned by the original post, like say Incralac.
But what do you all think should we leave the posting or edit it or delete it?

Nope, didn't fall through the ice. Just been working. I've finished a couple smaller pieces since the holidays that I'll think about posting after I sandblast and rust 'em. I try to post when I can, usually late at night when I should be sleeping...

Good Sam I didn't want to have to go up there pull you out.
As for the original post-ad; I checked their site but found mutually exclusive statements. Some days I am goofy but not so goofy as to buy some of what I saw on that page. :D

I would be willing to provide a sample of Artshield to you if you would post your results to the forum. Well let me know.
