Hello everyone.

I'm making an independent dance short, and have to film a scene involving a very straightlaced no nonsense woman who happens to glimpse a sculptor working with a life model through the window to his basement studio and conceives a fantasy of posing for him (fully clothed) and then turning the tables. The studio i had lined up has fallen through and i'm desperately searching for leads. Would be willing to travel to nearby Hoboken, Jersey City , Newark, Long Island or Westchester for the right space, although Brooklyn would be ideal.

Tiny budget, but willing to rent. Looking for access between 10a - 4p Thursday, 2/21 and possibly Friday 2/22.

Thanks everyone!

Doubt you'll find many basement anything with windows in NYC,basements in NYC buildings are typically "caves" with no windows, where they put the boiler.

That might be true of many apartment buildings particularly in Manhattan, but you'll find thousands of buildings: townhouses, rowhouses, brownstones, duplexes, triplexes and apartment houses which have both a separate basement or understairs entrance and yes, windows. I have actually seen artist studios in some of these spaces, including the one 2 doors down from me in Brooklyn from which sadly, the sculptor moved away last year. Still, i appreciate the comment from Iowa (assuming that your location listing remains current.)
