Hey!, everyone I must really suck at this, for this is about my 6th
attempt to intro. Aahh! persistence the best tool in the shop. I have the tendency to get a little wordy, so I'll try to keep it brief. I carve granite and any other type of stone ,I have made 3 significant pieces which fortunately, sold themselves. I have several on the burner, what I like to call sketches, can anyone relate? from reading some of the other threads and po
sts,I would say we are probably a lot more the same than we are different

This sight can be confusing but I feel in the long run it should get better. I'll try to send a pic. of my first significant piece, titled " A PROMINENT PROLETARIAN " it is sold and the picture is of it, in it's final resting place.
The wood and book were an addition to the piece by the new owner.

thanx I hope to hear from someone!, Gdog.

Hi Gdog,

Welcome and glad you got it working. Posting something the first time is probably the most difficult, after that it is much easier. I usually just hit the quick reply button (it looks like a sheet of paper with an arrow on it right next to the reply button) and then type in the box below.

Persistence is one of the most important attributes of being an artist, and we all could use that tool in our shops.

If you have a web link to your work that would be great to see if you have trouble getting the picture posted.

I'm glad you made it. I have had trouble too. I'm easily over whelmed by technology. I will be interested in seeing your work. I hope to carve some day too.

Gdog - Welcome! As Russ said, the first post is the hardest, with all the buttons and so on. After that, it's just a matter of doing what you already did, and then gradually adding more things as you go. I, too, hope you get up a picture of your work soon.

Welcome Gdog,
So what's your secret? How did your three significant pieces "sell themselves"? I'd like to have a few of mine do the same!
