Hi,
Many here have expressed that the relationship between architecture and sculpture does not exist or should not etc.
However, I learned today of the death of one inspirational architect for me when I studied interiors was -
Jan Kaplický
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jan_Kaplický
In latter years he ran 'Future Systems'. My lecturers hated this type of architecture and I tried to be influenced by it at college.
To many perhaps a bit too 'space age', his designs were not too organic in my view and also functioned on an 'ecotech' level.
I feel the shapes he developed, not only fulfilled function but also were sculptural in an architectural sense.
