I am not a sculptor, but I write and make documentaries about public sculpture around the world. I am fascinated by the life of these pieces, how they relate to the world around them and how the world relates to them. I am open to hearing your stories about public pieces that you are doing or have done in the past.
Currently I'm working on a documentary about war memorials in the US. I look forward to hearing from anyone on the site. My blog is www.morestonepilgrim.blogspot.com

Dear tapit123,
Welcome aboard. You should get yourself down to Central Park in New York between now and February 27 to check out The Gates by Christo and Jeanne-Claude,if you haven't already. I went yesterday and started posting about it last night in the Sculpture Events and Happenings area of this site. More info there as soon as I can, and more pics. The Gates is the finest public art event in years.
(I'll check out your blog later.)
I have done some smaller scale public art, a few examples of which can be found on my website: www.joyceaudyzarins.com. Look especially for the spiral project. Certainly not on a major scale, but something. I'd be happy to answer questions.

Welcome, Tapit. You offer an interesting take-off or follow-on to sculpture itself. Media are overlapping so much today, it’s hard to divide things into neat categories. Please let us hear more about your own work, as well as possible developments from this site.
