Art and nature walk The Legend

The 1th of July opened the 'Art and nature walk The Legend'. 10 international artist were working for 14 days in the forest near the small village Schoonoord in Drenthe (the Netherlands). Their inspiration was found at the old legend of Ellert and Brammert: two evil giants. Also in the story the beautiful framersdaughter Marieke and the frightened villagers. Te artiss made 10 surprising pieces of art in a very surprising nature with a glacier hole and a pingoruin. Tis first event is the start of the first permanent location for art-in-nature in the Netherlands. It is organised by Stichting Natuurkunst Drenthe (Nature Art Foundation Drenthe) an initiative of Adri A.C. de Fluiter (visual artist/curator). To continue the comming years it is important that artists from all over the world send their comments about this project. Politicians and other decission makers has to know that art-in-nature is a worldwide movement and many artists and artlovers are interested in it.

dE Fluiter,I love your concept and I hope it spreds to other countrys.As an artist living and motivated by nature,It is important to balance art with nature,and let the viewer experience art in a natural enviroment in natural light.My only criticism would be several of the works are not that impressive,but hey it is in the eye of the beholder.Good luck,and if I ever get back to Euro I will train over and check it out. :)
