I think the levels have to do with how many times one has posted. Level one would be a beginner. I've noticed some people in the members list whom I've never seen post, yet, and they're still level one although I believe they probably registered some time before I did.

Now you are at Level 2. That was a quick promotion. LOL!
James :)
Gary is right, palecomparison. That was easy, wasn't it?

If it's like other forums it will be tied into your "post count".

James is correct; all Php forums behave the same way, as they all use the same forum software engine.
The "ISC Member" tag denotes that the person posting has joined ISC, that's all. If you've registered for the message boards and haven't joined International Sculpture Center as a dues paying member, you won't show up as one until you have.

That is strange, indeed. I guess you have to ask for it?

man, I really hate this.
It's too bad that the levels have anything to do with post count.
you could post 34 times a day and be a level 12 right off. It gives the false impression of knowledge and authority, when that is not the case.
I am really upset to find that it has nothing to do with experience , exibitions held, or anything of that nature.
Oh well, that is the nature of a WWW forum!!

I also would prefer relating the Level number to the skill and experience of the sculptor, rather than the number of postings. On the other hand, somebody earlier did say that this is the same with other WWW Forums.
In that case, how many postings does it take to rise up by one Level?
