Well things are starting to get going for me, I posted a couple of weeks ago about the bike rack commission that I got, Monday I got word that I was accepted into the Sioux City art center (Sioux City Iowa) Regional juried art show. I was pretty excited and then today out of the blue I get an email from the Waterloo center for the arts in Waterloo, IA inviting me to participate in an invitational art show. I exhibited there back in 2000. I am also jurying a show in South Dakota in April. I am so thankful for these opportunities, and I am thankful that I stuck with my dreams and am able to look back at all the hard work that I have invested to get to this point and say that it was worth it. I keep looking ahead and I know that more opportunities are out there that will take me to greater levels of achievement and hopefully financial reward. I will post more specifics about the shows when I know more.

Hi, Way to go!!!!!!!!
This is a lesson. If you keep plugging away at this stuff and get the work out there, good things happen. Luck favors the prepared mind.
It also has a snowball effect.
Congrats and keep pushing it.
Have a great day,
Jeff

Great to hear of your good fortune. (It isn't really fortune since you made it happen though.) Nonetheless, your success is good for us all to hear about. Keep working and believing!

Talk about a snowball effect, I just got a solo show (with my wife) for october, and a local magazine wants to do an article about sculpture and feature me. The magazine is call the A list and it is all about art entertainment and the movers and shakers in Aberdeen, SD. I ust sent off a proposal yesterday for another public art piece and have three or four that I am working on. What a life!
Thanks for all of the kind notes,
Matt
