Prices of art on Web Site

I notice that "many" if not "most" sculptors do not post the price of their work on their web site, especially well known artists. Wondering what the psychology is that no price is mentioned? I'm not complaining, just wondering if there is a reason that I should NOT put the prices for my art on my site?

Jeff,
Therre is already a thread aboutthis. Do a search for it and youwill get some views. I personally don't think it's a good idea. Sculptorsam does, yet the last time I looked at his site the prices were "under construction".
It depends on your goals.
