Mar 10, 2008. The cremated ashes of loved ones are being turned into works of art by an innovative sculptor.
Chris Smedley, 28, used the remains to glaze a set of ceramics after he was approached by a customer who wanted an original way to remember his dad.
The artist - whose prices start at £300 - said: "You can pass it down from one generation to the next."
The ashes create a blue glaze which he says is caused by traces of metal oxides from the body. ...
