I just took a reading, and we are at 1,225 members. We had quite a celebration when we hit a thousand, and I had looked periodically to watch for 1100, but I missed the date.
I do think it is worthwhile congratulating ourselves periodically on these landmarks. The Internet is the 1500's (? - someone help me; I’m too lazy to check) printing press of our day, and this site is becoming a world resource for sculptors. When I look, I typically see five to fifteen guests in attendance for each member, so the viewership is creditable. Happy 1,225!
RuBert gets kudos for making it user-friendly. The rest is good community.

"and this site is becoming a world resource for sculptors"----- :)
and I, for one, am delighted.

Thanks everyone for helping to make this happen.
Charles knows we have come along pretty far rather fast, as he has helped so much. It was really hard to grow the site early last year when I had just reworked it and we only had about 50 people registered. Now it is much easier to get new people registered, but I still envision another level of growth.
I'm in New York today to attend the Christo and Jean-Claude Lifetime Achievement in Contemporary Sculpture award event, and it will be fun to see many sculptors and friends that I haven't seen in awhile. I was thinking we all should try and meet someday at an ISC conference or something.

Sounds good to me! Congrats all and thanks for making this a great place to check in on daily.

I was on the other night (9pm local) and saw 29 guests and 1 member. So many reading... Makes me wonder if I should say something relevant for a change ;)
Cheers to Russ.

On the other hand, those 29 would be doing something else if the reading material weren't something relevant. I'm always amazed at the range of experience among these members and how quickly everyone responds to issues/questions. Seeing everyone's new work is a real bonus too.
