Re: Site question for anyone

Gerry,
Here is Russ' description of how it works:

"Photo Gallery now open!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Good news! I’m opening up space in the Photo Gallery to all ISC members that have posted on this board. That is - you have to be an ISC member and have posted at Sculpture community to be included in this offering. If that sounds like you then it is turned on already, but if not then you need to join ISC, get registered and start posting if you want to use the photo gallery.

How it Works:

You probably have noticed the band of photos at the top of the Sculpture Community. Every time a photo is added to the gallery it is also shown at the top of the gallery section and is also added to a random queue for display on the Sculpture Community page.

Once in the gallery section you will need to log in before you can upload photos. You have 1,500,000 bytes of space to upload sculptures and images to your personal galleries and community categories.

Just use your regular username and password and it should recognize you. After that the system ought to remember that you have logged in to use the gallery and you shouldn’t need to do it each time you want to post a photo.

You can easily upload photos by selecting the upload photo menu button and using the resulting interface. The photo should be stored in your member gallery or you may choose a category based on the type of sculpture it is.

The menu will tell you have much space you have available, and the system can automatically shrink down photos for you and post them in medium and large sizes. Later your gallery can be shown by selecting the image or by using the slide show option.

It will help people find the photo if you use a category and list the title of the work, artist’s name and a brief description. Photos are posted in a search engine friendly way so they will be searchable later by google or yahoo.

After a photo is posted any member can leave comments about the work or rate the image with the 1-10 rating system (please be generous as we artists need the encouragement). If you see a work posted without the artist name, and you know who made the work, please leave a comment with the artist’s name and the listing can be edited later to include the correct information.

Remember you first have to login to the photo gallery system using your Sculpture community name and password, then you will see the additional menu options. If you have trouble staying logged in I have identified the reasons and have posted instructions here.

Have fun with this great feature!"

Re: Site question for anyone

JAZ

Thank you.

The key was at the end of the description...

One has to log in "again" to the gallery.

regards
