Michign Avenue (the old Equitable Building bordering the Wrigley Bldg. and the Chicago Tribune Bldg.) has a major plaza called Pioneer Court. Historically, in 1968 the first large scale outdoor exhibition took place on this plaza and John was one of the youngest sculptors partipating. He now has a one man show on the plaza and inside in the lobby. The sponsors of the show are: Paul Zeller Realty Corp. Thomas McCormick Gallery The Greater North Michigan Avenue Associates The City of Chicago, Department of Cultural Affairs http://www.johnhenrysculptor.com/ Schokland Museum, The Netherlands Eve Ingalls and Lucy Hodgson will exhibit their sculpture in a two-person installation on the grounds of the Schokland Museum, Noordoost Polder, The Netherlands, from May 17 through September, 2003. The Museum, and the former island of Schokland on which it is situated, are included on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The site honors the Dutch for their struggle against the sea. This is the first time that American artists have been invited to interpret the site's rich history, which begins in the Stone Age and proceeds through a vast land reclamation project in the 1940s. http://www.natuurlijk-schokland.nl/english.htm Inside the ISC Roy Staab has posted some cool (literally) snow sculptures he made last week on the Community: http://www.sculpture.net/community/s...=&threadid=175 Calls for Submissions Updates http://www.sculpture.net/community/f...?s=&forumid=20 Sculpture@Wildwood Update http://www.sculpture.net/community/s...id=409#post409 The ISC is pleased to announce that former University of Iowa student and two-time ISC Student Award winner Jin Man Jo was one of 56 artists selected for ISC@GFS, the 2003 ISC Juried Member Exhibition at Grounds For Sculpture.
