Hi there!

I tried an introduction earlier, but I guess it went out there where all those 9/16" wrenches go when they disappear.

I am a fulltime fabricator/sculptor of sheet and plate bronze, stainless, carbon steel and aluminum. Mostly large pieces, many of which are bearing mounted to allow them to revolve in the wind.

My works are generally geometric in origin, but evolve into unexpectedly organic configurations. I use Rhino3d extensively, and it is a great aid in figuring out how to bring ideas to fruition.

The attached image is my 12' tall "Imploding Octahedron", the second in a series of "imploding" pieces.

For more, see the site below.

If anyone would like to see videos of my pieces revolving in the wind, contact me off line.
John

Holy cow!

This must have been like winning the lottery of in situ photographs

We seem to be on a similar path toward the geometric, but from different points. Mathmatic and organic.
I look forward to some good yarns.
Welcome John.

rainbow

The rainbow/sculpture photo was taken by the 85 yr old owner of the piece. His wife called to say "you won't believe the shot Fred just got". Serendipity!
