Hello
Hi Folks,
A quick introduction! I live in Scotland and i have always enjoyed art but i love creating sculptures most. i have made a few but lead a busy life (work full time, 4 kids, etc etc) and rarely get the time now. i would love to learn to make copies of my sculptures to make a few pennies and lately have been "playing" with resin and latex with some quite good results, the only problem is i want to be able to do it NOW! i am very impatient ![]() i will try and attach some sculptures i made a while back if i can work out how to do it ![]() Any advice for a novice appreciated! |

Re: Hello
Hi Helen
I would forget latex its really tricky to work with for the beginner and the moulds from it doesnt last long. Use a silicone rubber its much easier to work with. I have a few threads on mould making that might be of use to you http://www.sculpture.net/community/s...ad.php?t=10637 http://www.sculpture.net/community/s...ad.php?t=10514 http://www.sculpture.net/community/s...ead.php?t=9978 http://www.sculpture.net/community/s...ead.php?t=9758 |

Re: Hello
Well welcome, and those are pretty neat, I am wondering ,Do you paint them after they are casted, or are the colors added to the latex or resin ? Probabley the best way to "attach" photos, is start a account with photobucket, or other similar site, and upload the photos there. Then just include a image link, in your post.
