Bronze sculpture repair?
Hi there.
I recently had some one bring an injured deer into my shop. Actually an injured deer sculpture. When I first spoke to the person, they asked if I could repair their "metal dear". I told them to bring it in for inspection, and assumed it would be some sort of wrought iron contraption.
It looks as if it has had some sort of faux patina added. It also looks as if some one else had already tried their hand at brazing the antler back into place. I am in dire need of your expert sculpturfying and statufication expertise.
I'm guessing it's made of bronze and am hoping it might be weldable. I've tigged copper with copper filler and even brass with brass, but bronze would be new to me.
Any thoughts on what type of material this might be?
