NEED FIGURATIVE SCULPTURE WORKSHOP INSTRUCTORS. For 2-3 day workshops. Immediate and On-going.

WHERE: Tucson, Arizona area. USA

WHEN: Immediate Need is for workshop in 2007 Jan, Feb, Apr or May.
ON-GOING NEED: Annually: Two different workshops between October-June in the Tucson, AZ area.

TYPE OF SCULPTURE WORKSHOPS & CLASS SIZE: Figurative, classical, expressionist using water based or oil clay. In the November 2007 to May 2008 season there is a possibilitiy of wanting to have one of the workshops a modern, contemporaty figuative workshop.

SIZE: 20-25 students.

MINIMUM FEES PAID IN TUCSON AREA WORKSHOP: The minimum will range from $500-$1000 per day depending on experience. Allowance for travel to Tucson. Private B&B lodging provided for up to 2 days before and 2 days after workshop, includes breakfast and dinner, tourist guide services, Pool, golf and ammenities. Also possibility of combining it with a 2 day weekend workshop in Scottsdale-Sedona area. Transportation from Tucson to Northern AZ included.

STUDENT DEMOGRAPHICS: Students belong to a 458 member clay studio. Includes about 60 active classical figurative sculptors, about 300 active clay slab handbuilders of which about 125 do slab figurative work.Age range 50-70.

PHYSICAL FACILITIES: Can accomodate with sculptor stands and armatures up to 30 participants. Lecture facilty for up to 300. Also additional rooms to accommodate 35 hand builders and a wheel room for 10. In 2005 there were over 2,257 separate working visits by members using the facilities. It is open 6 days a week from 8am-7pm

OTHER THINGS TO CONSIDER: Oct-May is beautiful weather in Southern Arizona. It is an opportunity to combine a vacation with an opportunity to make some money. If you are planning a 2 week vacation it is possible to set up two separate 2-3 day workshops. The income for locations outside of the Tucson location may be lower but can help to cover cost of your vacation. Organizer will provide private home lodging, full resort ammenities and tourist transportion in the Tucson area.
