Sculpture Calendar February 5, 2003 TEXAS UPDATES Blue Star Contemporary Art Center San Antonio, TX Thursday, February 6th at 5:30pm opening two shows: "Texas Trialogues" Works two artists from Denton, El Paso and San Antonio respectively. Curated by Diana Block, Kate Bonansinga, and The Art Guys. Featuring Annette Lawrence, Xin Peng Chen, James Drake, Adrian Esparza, Danny Geisler and Lucia LaVilla-Havelin. Agnieszka Falkiewicz "Cornered (Single and Double String Entanglements)" The shows run through March 23. Thursday, February 13th, Christo and Jeanne-Claude lecture info@bluestarartspace.org Update....it is Corpus Christi's good fortune to receive "Ulalu" on loan from Mark di Suvero. ETA February 17. It will placed on City property in front of the Art Museum of South Texas. Sarasota, Florida Bob Emser's new sculpture, On My Way, is on exhibit in Sarasota, Florida. The sculpture is a part of the biennial Sarasota Season of Sculpture. Emser is one of 22 nationally invited sculptors. The second bayfront exhibition opened on November 17 and will run through May 31, 2003. The venue is the park along the edge of Sarasota Bay (Gulf of Mexico) on Tamiami Trail. The exhibition runs approximately 3/4 of a mile to the edge of the Selby Botanical Gardens at Palm Avenue. Roughly one-third of the exhibitors are from the last exhibit. Emser joins other nationally exhibited artists, Albert Paley and John David Mooney, as first-time exhibitors.
