I remember discovering an sculptor(deceased?) who did large scale outdoor figurative sculptures in metals(welded steel?)-very expressive-tortured actually. I think you may be able to visit his garden- and I want to go. What i can't remember is:
his name, location(eastern Europe?Balkans?) anyone know who this is? |

Re: what sculptor?
That description is too vague to pin it down. It might work to do searches on google images using "figurative metal sculpture" "figurative welded steel sculpture" etc. with as much other pertinent descriptors as may help narrow the search.

Re: what sculptor?
If I can add to the description from memory, the figures are larger than life size, perhaps 2x or more and some are on risers. They are also in a large grouping- like Burghers of Calais only more intense expression. They are spread out somewhere in a forest and I'm not sure it was his property. I'm thinking now he may have been Polish or Czech? I also think he may have been a recluse, so he is not well known.
This is a tuff one I know-Thanks |
