Smile Plaster or bronze Bust for an infographist

Hello, I'm new french user, and i've got a request for you. ( sorry if my english isn't good )
I'm an CG 3d infographist for animation film and i search a bust for recreate in 3d. but it's difficult to find a simple bust with little/no hair (too difficult) to learn the face anatomy, like the Voltaire of Houdon
if you have some face, back, left or right pictures of an academic study bust, it's perfect.Or if you got some internet adress where i can get this, it's perfect.

thanks a lot.please reply

Zoi - Welcome to the Community! Your English is fine, and your request for images of heads with little on no hair is readily understandable. I'm afraid I have no suggestions, myself, but perhaps others will. Houdon's Voltaire is a wonderful piece.

Re: Plaster or bronze Bust for an infographist

Bonjour Greg,

Re: Plaster or bronze Bust for an infographist

Hi ZOI

reading the last 2 posts, my deficiencies in language acquisition skills has reared it's ugly head(as in I ain't got a clue)

back to the head------
I always sculpt the head bald---then add hair----
I find bald women darned sexy
I will attach a picture of one of the heads "Wally"

I hope this helps

Re: Plaster or bronze Bust for an infographist

approximative translation: I adviced him to visit a museum in brussels (1 hour driving from his place) that has a molding departement that sales thousands of classical academic plaster figure in 3d. and I guess he found exactly what he has been looking for for weeks...

please greg, let us know about the result of your animation research!
viens nous montrer le résultat de ton travail!

Thanks Anne

I had taken the link but didn't have either language offered.

Re: Plaster or bronze Bust for an infographist

Zoi - I hesitate to make suggestion on another artist's work in progress, but I do suggest you look at making the shoulders wider. Nothing is wrong the way they are, but most busts provide a wider view of that area.

You are making excellent progress. Let us see more as you go further.

Re: Plaster or bronze Bust for an infographist

Zoi,
The figure you have produced is intriguing. Please explain a bit more. Is the bust only digital or is it an actual prototype? It looks like porcelain.

Re: Plaster or bronze Bust for an infographist

of course not... this is only digital. I use a shader look like porcelain just to see the specular level, and the reflect. the original bust is in marbre, or look like... the last render will be in plaster...

Re: Plaster or bronze Bust for an infographist

Excellent work, Zoi/Greg. I checked your website, but my connection is slow, so I saw only a small part. This is the kind of technology I mentioned in another section might displace actual 3D sculpture altogether, or relegate it to the state of “precious” or “archaic”. It’ll be fascinating to watch these computer developments.

Congratulations!
