VISUAL ARTISTS AS WRITERS: SHARING THE CREATIVE PROCESS (Reading, Slide Show, and Discussion) VISUAL ARTISTS AS WRITERS: SHARING THE CREATIVE PROCESS When feminist artists write about their work and their lives, we have an unusual opportunity to expand our appreciation of the visual forms they create. Two acclaimed artists, Nancy Azara and Clarissa Sligh, (Italian-American, African-American), read from their autobiographical writings and show slides of their artwork.
